Life's Lessons

If a man hasn't found something he would die for, he isn't fit to live ~Martin Luther King~

Personal Responsibility

It's not for us to worry or take on other peoples' problems. We are all responsible for our own actions and our own Spiritual Journey. That is not to say you shouldn't care about others but not to the extent that it takes the time we should be devoting to our own spiritual development. If you find someone else's situation is affecting your life and most importantly they are not listening to the advice you are giving, then you are not there to help at that time and that is the time to stand back. They are choosing to do it their way, and that's okay too. It's their Path.

Again we do know that people come into our lives for a reason. And we know that that sometimes brings with it a lesson, that is a different situation, the person is in our life to teach us something. We are given lessons, obstacles to overcome, remembering we are not given any situation we can't cope with.

Sometimes it is not the situation that is the lesson but the way we accept it. Say with a relationship separation. Not to contradict but sometimes it is to help spiritually.

My experience has been from a child wanting that fairy tale wedding of bliss and happy ever after!

That was not for me, and when I found that special someone and thought this is my totally complete partner fulfilling all my dreams expectations - they walked way - leaving me devasted. Why couldn't I settle down happy ever after?

I now have seen the light!!! my lesson was dont hang on so tight - don't fear loosing them - like a bird let them go and if it is meant to be they will come back. I didn't realise the lesson I was being given. I couldn't understand "why does this always happen to me"

Now I can see it - If someone new comes into your life, embrace them, enjoy what they have to offer you, but do not fear them going. If someone is going to stay in you life for ever if it's right, that will be amazing.

I just couldn't grasp it!! Now I feel a relief that I have finally "seen the light"
